Fulham's offer for Udinese midfielder Arthur Atta was reported earlier in January by Messaggero Veneto.
The London club were believed to have put forward €20m but this wasn’t enough for the Italian side.
This was later confirmed by the Pozzo family’s group sporting director Gianluca Nani, who ended up comparing Atta to Zinedine Zidane. That was one way of increasing his valuation, even if the Italian did go over the top.
Udinese are no strangers to that, as they are a classic selling club in Italy and know all the tactics.
Calciomercato IT take a closer look at the midfielder, who has risen in stature this season. He’s played 16 times in Serie A, scoring once and assisting three times.
Juventus and Napoli have been keeping an eye on the Frenchman for a while, which is added to the Fulham interest. Despite that, the Italian giants ‘both have other priorities’ and this makes a move abroad the most likely possibility.
Fulham will have to shell out €25m to sign Atta, with the report confirming their previous offer. It is believed that Silva is pushing for him, with Udinese nearing a major capital gain.
The Friulian side paid €8m to sign him from Metz in 2025 after an initial loan. His value has risen because of impressive performances and Fulham have a chance of signing him in the middle of the season.
