Marcus Hahnemann wants to stay

Fulham's American reserve keeper, Marcus Hahnemann, says he isn't tempted to leave the club on loan, even though his first-team chances are slim.

The former Colorado Rapids keeper has had a frustrating season at the Cottage, having only been used in the early rounds of the Worthington Cup.

With Maik Taylor is such outstanding form and showing no signs of slowing down, the American was told he could go on loan if he wanted to, but he has decided to stay and fight for his place.

He said: "I enjoy the camaraderie we have. It kinda sucks not playing, but I have a great time going on the road and I enjoy Fulham. "Everything's run very professionally, from equipment manager to front office, and if I went to another situation it would have to be in line with here - otherwise no way. "My role in the team is to sit on the bench, I know that. If Maik gets injured I need to be ready."

However, the American is resolved to the fact that when the London side reaches the Premiership, a vast array of new talent will be added to the squad, which may eventually see him leave the club anyway.
