on, as the American custodian is available to leave on a Bosman free at
the end of the season.

However, the signing of Dutch international goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar
last summer has made Hahnemann the number three goalkeeper behind the former
Juventus man and previous first-choice Maik Taylor.
Despite the season of uncertainty for Hahnemann, he feels he has made
the most of his current position.
Hahnemann told USLsoccer.com: "In a way, bumping me to No. 3 was good
in that it gave me a chance to go out and show people what I can do.
"People want to know what will happen if you play Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday,
and if you can keep up your level of play every week."
His loan spells at Rochdale and Reading allowed the American to put in
some impressive performances.
He added: "I had four clean sheets out of six games (at Reading), and
the other two games were draws."
Hahnemann has had talks with Fulham boss Jean Tigana about his future
and he is considering a couple of options.
"He knows I don't want to be a third goalkeeper, and he told me that he
would like to get a young goalkeeper who is 18 or 19-years-old for the third
position. "He encouraged me to go talk to other teams, but if I don't find
anything that I want, he will give me another year."
The Seattle-born keeper is happy to remain in English football but he will
not rule out a return home to the MLS or moving to a club in Europe, if
the move is right for him. He said: "Obviously, the money is much better
(in England) and you never know how many contracts you will get, so you
have to make as much money as you can."
Hahnemann has earned three caps with the U.S. national side and desires
the chance to play more for his country, despite not being named in Bruce
Arena's 20-man list for their friendly against Germany next Wednesday.
"I was picked as one of the alternates for the game with Italy last month.
"I was hoping that I could go home for one of the two games in the USA -
one of which was in Seattle - but that didn't happen. "But maybe they will
call me for the game that is scheduled in Germany."
Hahnemann also went on to praise the quality in the current Fulham squad
and in The Premiership as a whole.
He said: "There are some players here who are so quick it's unbelievable,
so you naturally learn to read the game much better. "If you just react,
you won't get the job done."
