Fulham play away at Blackburn on Saturday afternoon in their last Premiership game of the 2001/2002 season. A win for the Black and Whites will double ensure entry into the InterToto Cup next season

Blackburn have become a team that many Fulham fans like to see beaten since the antics of Boss Soueey in last season's Championship race. This year like ourselves Rovers have concentrated on Premiership survival which they achieved but in addition they also won won the Worthington Cup and therefore will play in the UEFA Cup next season.

We have played 32 games up at Blackburn since 1937 and have won 7, drawn 7 and lost 18. Our last victory up there was the delicious 2-1 victory last season.

Blackburn have have improved in recent times as they have not lost at home for 6 games following a 3-2 defeat by Arsenal. Prior to the Arsenal defeat Rovers had played 7 games at home with 1 win, 2 draws and 4 defeats.

Rovers played away at Liverpool on Wednesday evening and lost 4-3. Whether or not the effort will impact their energy levels on Saturday only time will tell but at the moment they need a win to finish above us.

Other games
Arsenal at home to Everton will be of some interest to us because if Everton finish above us they will take the last InterToto Cup place! But to do that The Toffees must win away at Arsenal as they have 43 points and a goal difference of minus 11 in comparison to our 44 points and a goal difference of minus 5.

If we win and if Middlesboro lose away at Leeds and Aston Villa lose away at Chelsea by 2 clear goals we will finish 9th in the Premiership a club record. COYWS
