Christopher Foy - St Helens, Merseyside
Referee Foy wanted to be a professional footballer but wasn't up to it so he decided to become a ref. He is finding it enjoyable as "for the first time I am being paid for something I love to do."
Ex-Lancashire policeman Foy started refereeing in 1983, became a Football League referee in 1994 and after making the referee list in 1996 graduated to the Barclaycard Premiership roster in 2001.
Foy is now in his eighth season as a Premiership League referee and is confident enough to believe that ref's get 99.9% of their decisions correct.
Ref Foy is up for his first outing with Fulham this season and so far, over the seasons, there have been no major errors to be held against him, from a Fulham point of view.
He played a role in our great escape reffing two of the victorous run in games
He has reffed twelve Fulham Premiership games and we have won 7, drawn 3 and lost 2 while receiving 15
yellows and 1 red against 21 yellows and 1 red for our opponents.
.
A word of warning for our team is that up to this season any player carded by Mr Foy does not last long much longer at Craven Cottage.
Of the current squad only Simon Davies has been given the Foy black spot and
still survives!!!!

& Ref Foy works hard to avoid being the story as they say so we should not see
too many controversial decisions on Saturday against Birmingham.
This season his whistle is being used more than at any time over the seasons but his yellow card count is
only slightly higher than normal. He is continuing his efforts to top the
penalty leader board but
has been less keen to dish out a red.

Ref Foy is
above average in awarding yellow cards to visiting squads this season.
However he likes to disrupt away squads efforts less than the average. |
