Daniel Cousin's move to Fulham will be ruled out by FIFA - in a heartbreak decision due to made this week according to Alan Nixon at The People.
The game's rulers are to stand by their hard-line that the Gabon striker cannot play for three clubs in a season and his £3million move from Rangers is to be blocked after he appeared for French side Lens at the start of the campaign.
Sheffield United winger Lee Martin, Bolton's Gary Cahill and Sunderland's Phil Bardsley have played for three this term.
However .......
Fulham look as if they are finally going to get the green light to sign £3million Rangers striker Daniel Cousin according to Iain Campbell at The Mirror.
Fifa had been opposing the move because he also played for French side Lille at the start of the season, and world football's governing body say no player can appear for three sides in one campaign. But Mirror Sport can reveal that FIFA will give the Gabon international special dispensation, as he only appeared as a late sub in one game for Lille.
Cousin was left out of Rangers' 2-0 win over Kilmarnock yesterday, despite being fit. The 30-year-old striker has packed up and moved out of Glasgow, confident he will be able to fulfil his dream of playing in the Premier League in the next week.
