Captain Brown happy as stand in

MICHAEL BROWN is loving life as Fulham’s stand- in skipper — and wants to repay boss Chris Coleman by getting more goals, writes Vikki Orvice at The Sun.

Coleman has given Brown the armband while defender Zat Knight is out with a broken jaw.

The midfielder, 30, leads his side out at Charlton tomorrow. And Brown said: "I don’t know how long I will be captain, but I’m enjoying it.

"Everybody knows what you get from me — 100 per cent all the time. Hard tackling comes with that, trying to close down and shut the other team down.

"Maybe I can add a bit more to my game and try and get a couple of goals."
