Zat Knight says he is aiming to become a first team regular after an impressive performance against Chelsea on his home debut at the weekend.
The young defender was thrown into the west London derby ahead of Kit Symons and did not disappoint after an outstanding performance.
"It was exciting for me to play in front of a packed crowd and I hope I'll have many more chances," said the centre-half, who made his debut at Leicester a week earlier.
"I was really delighted to find I was playing and going to make my home debut. It shows the gaffer has a lot of confidence in me and it's up to me to make the most of it.
"If I keep playing well I want to make it as difficult as possible for him to leave me out, but obviously Alain Goma will be back soon and Kit Symons wants to play as well. I'll just have to do my best and work hard in training."
