Weekend Results and Stats

last updated Sunday 12th November 2000, 5:06 PM

Fulham Football Club are the top club of the Nationwide league.

While Jean and the squad were confirming what a difference a Chairman and a Manager can make Watford recorded their second defeat of the season 2-0 away at Tranmere.

The result at Wimbledon was a team effort with the defence, particularly Maik Taylor, ensuring that Wimbledon's Hartson was thwarted while the rotating threesome up front did the business with three well earned goals.

The next challenge for the Mighty Whites is a home fixture with Portsmouth.

We are top of Division One after a third of the campaign, having lost only one game, with the best goal difference in British football and the leading scorer in the Premier and Nationwide leagues.
