Fulham continue their latest Cup adventure on Sunday when they welcome Nationwide squad Burnley in the 5th round
of the F.A. Cup. The Cottagers reached the semifinals last year and will be hoping to go as least as far this season.
The only problem in the 5th round is that no one appears to be tipping us to be beaten while both Sky and BBC also seem to agree on our likely success as evidenced by our game being the only Sunday tie not on the box.
Burnley rest in 15th place in Division One, just 4 points off the playoffs,
and won 3-0 away at Brentford to reach the 5th round so they are no pushovers . The Clarets have won 11 of their 30 league games so far this season with 4 of those wins being on their travels. However despite having drawn a further 5 games away from home they have one of the worse away goal conceded figures in Division One at 30 goals in 15 games. The Bookies and Pundits all seem to believe that Fulham are nailed on to win this game. Lets hope they are right.
Elsewhere other non-Premiership clubs still in the Cup
are Sheff Utd, at home to Walsall, Norwich, away at Southampton, Watford, away at Sunderland, Crystal Palace, at home to Leeds, Stoke, at home to Chelsea, and Wolves play Rochdale.
If the Bookies are correct then there will be two Nationwide sides in the quarters and Arsenal will lose away at Man U, although Sunderland and Leeds might find it tougher than they would like. Should we beat Burnley, as expected,
apart from the Division One sides, the weakest Premiership sides it would be nice to play in the next round should be Sunderland and Leeds. COME ON YOU WHITES
