Weekend Divi 1 Results and Stats

last updated Saturday 18th November 2000, 11:17 PM

Fulham Football Club are the top club in the Nationwide league.

The Mighty Whites survived a cynical and savage attempt by Portsmouth to kick Fulham off the park.

Despite the justified sending off of two Pompey players the Referee should be taken off the list immediately. He was far too lenient on Portsmouth in the first half while booking Fulham players like Fabrice Fernandes for mild stuff. What ever the reason Refs are certainly letting our opponents off lightly.

Bazza Hayles scored two good goals with Clarkie sending in a thunder bolt. Nicolas Sahnoun debuted for the last 10 or 15 minutes and showed a number of nice touches.

Say ... We are top of Division One after a third of the campaign, have lost only one game, have the best goal difference in British football and have the leading scorer in the Premier and Nationwide leagues.
