Gianluca Vialli has left Chelsea. The Italian's contract has been terminated after a difficult start to the season.
Chelsea have won just one of their opening five games of the Premiership despite Vialli splashing out £24million in the summer.
Only yesterday Chelsea legend Ron 'Chopper' Harris suggested that the Italian had three more games to keep his job.
Harris said: "Vialli has spent a lot of money and his big stars are earning good wages, so I think people are getting fed up with hearing him say that his players are tired after a bad result. That's ridiculous."
The news comes just two days before the Blues start their UEFA Cup campaign at home to St Gallen.
The club are expected to release a statement at 7.00pm.
