There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Fulham are showing interest in Goztepe forward Romulo.
The 21-year-old has impressed for the Super Lig side this season, which has brought him to the attention of a number of European clubs, including Fulham.
Hurriyet report on interest form other clubs for the Brazilian and they say Fulham are ‘in the running’ to sign him this summer. Marco Silva will be looking to add to his squad ahead of next season and the youngster looks to be an option, and one who can grow.
However, the Premier League side will face competition to sign Romulo with reports that RB Leipzig, Ajax, Feyenoord, AS Roma, Monaco and RSC Anderlecht are all monitoring the attacker’s situation.
The Izmir club are controlled by Sports Republic, who also own Southampton, and have reportedly already received an offer from Leipzig, which is said to be in the region of €12m plus bonuses.
Romulo has made 28 starts in the Super Lig this season, scoring 12 goals. He’s contracted until June 2028 after making his move to Goztepe permanent during the last transfer window.
