Fulham and Leicester City are keen to sign Brighton sensation Evan Ferguson in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed both clubs are pursuing loan deals for the 20-year-old ahead of the new year.
Football Insider revealed on Friday (22 November) that Ferguson wants to leave Brighton in the January transfer window.
The Republic of Ireland international is unhappy with his lack of game time under Fabian Hurzeler this term and is ready to leave the Seagulls.
Fulham have made a centre-forward their top January priority, while manager-less Leicester are in need of reinforcements to boost their quest for Premier League survival.
Ferguson has made just eight club appearances in league and cup this term, scoring one goal.
He has started just one Brighton match but remains a regular for Ireland on the international stage.
The 20-year-old has hit one goal in four Nations League starts this term and also made two substitute appearances in September.
Ferguson’s best return came in the 2022-23 campaign when he hit 10 goals to burst onto the Premier League scene.
The striker scored six goals in an injury-hit 2023-24 season and started the current campaign with an ankle problem.
He is under contract at the Amex Stadium until June 2029 after penning a new deal last year (2023).
