New Fulham boss Alvaro Arbeloa is planning a double Real Madrid deal after arriving at Fulham.

The former Los Blancos boss, 43, wants to bring two of his former players to Craven Cottage after signing a three-year deal to replace Marco Silva.

Arbeloa wants to sign both Franco Mastantuono and Gonzalo Garcia and is pushing Fulham to get the deals over the line.

Striker Garcia, 22, scored ten goals in 32 appearances under Arbeloa last season, having also bagged eight under predecessor Xabi Alonso before he departed the Santiago Bernabeu.

Winger Mastantuono, 18, bagged two in 18 appearances under the new Cottagers boss.

Mastantuono arrived at Real from Argentinean club River Plate last year in a £38million deal.

The highly-rated Argentina international, who has four caps for the World Cup finalists, would only likely be available on loan if Fulham are able to complete a deal.

The Cottagers are in the market for forwards after Harry Wilson and Raul Jimenez both departed the club as free agents.

Wilson has joined Premier League rivals Leeds while Jimenez has returned to former club Wolves in the Championship.
