Fulham have stepped up their pursuit for Goztepe forward Romulo according to a claim in the Turkish media.
This summer the 23-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League side this summer, along with a number of other European clubs.
Askam report on Fulham’s continued interest in Romulo and state the London club have now made their move for the youngster. It’s claimed Fulham have made an offer in the region of €16m, but it’s likely they will need to increase this.
Goztepe are reportedly holding out for €20m.
The Turkish media outlet also report Romulo is keen on a move to England and wants to sign for the Craven Cottage side.
Nottingham Forest, RB Leipzig Ajax, Feyenoord, Roma, AS Monaco and Anderlecht have also been linked with the player in recent weeks. There were reports Leipzig tabled an offer for the attacker, which was rejected.
Romulo made 28 starts in the Super Lig last season, scoring 12 goals. He’s contracted until June 2028 after making his move to Goztepe permanent during the last transfer window.
