Fulham have revived their transfer interest in Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah.

The centre-back is one of several players who could leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

Chalobah has four years left on his contract but, as an academy graduate, would count as pure profit in any sale as Chelsea bid to ensure that they stay in line with Premier League profit and sustainability rules.

After missing the first six months of last season with a hamstring injury, Chalobah impressed at the end of the campaign and Fulham, who considered signing him last summer, have now renewed their interest.

While Chalobah is expected to push to stay put at Chelsea, the club’s finances could mean it is out of his hands.

If he did make a switch across west London, it would represent a reverse move to that of Tosin Adarabioyo, who has joined Chelsea as a free agent from Fulham.

With Adarabioyo gone and Tim Ream nearing a move to MLS side Charlotte FC, Fulham could soon be left with just two recognised senior central defenders in Calvin Bassey and Issa Diop.

Fulham are now considering an approach for Chalobah, who had interest from Inter Milan and Bayern Munich last summer.

He is valued by Chelsea at £25million and is currently on holiday before the club’s pre-season tour of the United States.
