Fulham are reportedly close to agreeing a £15million deal for Saints defender Mohammed Salisu this summer.
The 24 year old centre-back’s future has been the subject of speculation since he did not feature in the final two months of the club’s Premier League relegation campaign.
Salisu returned from international duty injured, as former manager Ruben Selles revealed, with his boss denying reports of a lack of commitment.
The Ghanaian has made 68 Premier League appearances since a 2020 move from Spanish La Liga side Real Valladolid.
Although he did travel with Russell Martin’s squad for the pre-season trip to Turkey, where he featured in the second half of a 1-1 draw with Goztepe, Salisu did not travel to Reading.
Premier League outfit Fulham are reportedly on the verge of agreeing a permanent transfer for Salisu which will see Saints make profit on their initial £11million investment.
