Fulham are back in the big time after securing a deserved promotion with their 1-0 win over Aston Villa in the Championship playoff final.
Cottagers boss Slavisa Jokanovic has built a young and attractive attacking team at Fulham but he knows he must bolster his squad to cope with the demands of the Premier League.
While much of Jokanovic's energy seems likely to be spent fending off interest from Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino in Fulham's star player Ryan Sessegnon, he could get one over on Tottenham with a signing of his own.
Reports in France claim Fulham are in the driving seat to land 20-year-old French midfielder Lamine Fomba, who turned down Tottenham two years ago, according to L'Equipe.
L'Equipe claim Fomba turned Spurs down to sign a professional deal with Auxerre in 2016.
But he has made just two senior appearances since and is into the last year of his contract.
That has alerted Fulham, who have a history of snapping up young talent from France on the cheap.
Fomba is a former France Under 18 international and would be something of a coup for Jokanovic if he can adapt to the English game.
The report claims 'Fulham have watched the player multiple times and appear poised to make a concrete move'.
