Fulham and Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing 21-year-old Senegalese international Habib Diarra from Ligue 1 club RC Strasbourg this summer.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Habib Diarra is the subject of interest from Fulham. The Cottagers are keen on reinforcing their midfield unit in the summer transfer window by signing a dynamic midfielder. So, the 21-year-old RC Strasbourg mainstay has emerged as a target for the West London outfit.

The African midfielder is also a target for Leeds United, with the newly promoted Premier League club holding talks to sign him from RC Strasbourg in the summer transfer window. In addition, Bournemouth and Sunderland are keen on securing the youngster’s services in the coming weeks.

Habib Diarra has gone from strength to strength since breaking into the first-team squad at RC Strasbourg. A native of Guediawaye, the 21-year-old spent his formative years in France and graduated from the youth division at RC Strasbourg. The youngster made his senior bow for the Ligue 1 club as a 17-year-old in August 2021 and has come leaps and bounds in the last three years.

The Senegalese international has turned out over 100 times thus far for the Ligue 1 club while chipping in with 11 goals and ten assists. Meanwhile, Diarra’s exploits have not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe.

Fulham’s interest in Habib Diarra is understandable. The Cottagers are scouring the market for a versatile midfielder heading into the summer transfer window amid uncertainties surrounding Andreas Pereira’s long-term future. So, the RC Strasbourg prospect has emerged as a viable target for Fulham.
