For the past week, the rumours linking Andre to Fulham had gone quiet, as the player is currently in international duty with Brazil.
It turns out that journalist Jorge Nicola comes up with very interesting updates on the situation, claiming the Whites are actually quite close to landing the midfielder.
The reporter claims that an ‘important source in the market’ called him to say Fulham are the ‘big favourites’ to sign Andre.
The Whites reportedly placed a €30m offer for the transfer. That was seen by Fluminense as ‘pleasing’, and the player ‘liked the project’.
That’s why the transfer is expected to get done in the ‘coming days’, and the only chance of it collapsing is in case someone comes up with a bigger bid.
Nicola points out that several clubs have been interested in Andre, with Manchester United being one of them, so they could show up with more money.
Still, Fulham continue to be called the favourites in this race, as they see the Brazilian as a potential replacement for João Palhinha.
