Theo Hernandez is likely to leave Real Madrid this summer and while Real Sociedad appeared to be the most likely destination for the full-back, Premier League side Fulham are now attempting to lure him to London.
Fulham are willing to pay 2 million euros for a season's loan while also paying the entirety of the player's wages, which is not something that Real Sociedad are currently offering.
Those at Anoeta are hoping to bring him to the club with Real Madrid still paying a percentage of his wages, but Los Blancos are hesitant to agree as there are other clubs - as many as seven - who are also interested.
Theo Hernandez made just ten La Liga starts for Real Madrid last season.
Last summer, Theo Hernandez became the first player to make that short trip across Madrid from Atletico to Real.
The £20 million man shone during a loan spell at Alavas in the 2016/17 campaign, helping Mauricio Pellegrino’s side reach the Copa del Rey final, and was seemingly signed to provide some much needed back-up to Marcelo on the left of Real’s defence.
Unfortunately, Marcelo remains as consistently brilliant as ever. As a result, Theo was restricted to just ten La Liga starts in his first season as a Real player.
So a loan move away from the Bernabau seems like a good idea. And, according to Marca, Premier League newcomers Fulham are willing to give him a platform to show why Real brought a swift end to the ‘gentleman’s agreement’ between the two Madrid giants.
