Fulham are weighing up a January bid for Montpellier forward Akor Adams, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed the Cottagers have sent scouts to watch the 23-year-old in action in Ligue 1 on several occasions this season.
Adams has hit seven goals in 16 Ligue 1 outings so far in the 2023-24 campaign – his first in France.
The Nigeria Under-20 international stands at 6ft 3in and has wowed Fulham scouts, as well as those from West Ham, with his powerful play in the final third.
Marco Silva’s side are in the market for striking reinforcements in January after losing former talisman Aleksandar Mitrovic to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal in the summer window.
It is believed Adams is just one name on the striker shortlist for the Cottagers as the new year approaches.
Adams only joined Montpellier from Norweigan side Lillestrom in the summer window and is under contract until June 2027.
He hit 17 goals in 18 games for Lillestrom earlier this year before departing for Ligue 1.
Fulham initially struggled for goals in the early part of the 2023-24 campaign but have hit 16 strikes in their last five Premier League games.
