Rochdale have signed striker Stephen Humphrys from Fulham, on loan, until the end of the season despite interest from high flying Shrewsbury Town.
The 20-year-old has been unable to force his way into the Fulham first team this season and will now seek to continue his footballing education in League One.
Humphrys said: "I want to come in and score goals, get assists and play well.
"The manager was interested in me in the summer, but unfortunately, we couldn't get it done then.
"He's kept his interest in me and I've had a lot of conversations with him and Brian Barry-Murphy, and they convinced me that this is the club to be at, at the minute."
During the 2016-17 campaign, Humphrys made three first team appearances for the Cottagers, and also spent four months on loan at Shrewsbury.
Whilst he is yet to make a first team appearance at Fulham, he is highly rated at Fulham, and scored 20 goals at youth level in the 2015/16 season.
