LOUIS Saha could be heading back to Fulham.

United's French striker is now surplus to requirements at Old Trafford having been left out of the Reds' tour of South Africa.

And his old club Fulham are looking to end the misery he has suffered with United since he moved from Craven Cottage in January 2004.

Saha had been a consistent hitman at Fulham from 2000 but as soon as he switched north he was beset by a series of knee problems.

It has restricted him to 76 starts since his £12.5m move four and a half years ago. His total appearances did yield 42 goals but his catalogue of injuries stretched Sir Alex Ferguson's patience to breaking point.

However, Fulham boss Roy Hodgson believes a return to the Cottage could reinvigorate his career and leave his woes behind him at Old Trafford.

Ex-Red Roy Keane has a similar outlook on Saha and currently appears to be Fulham's main contender for the Parisian's signature.
