Fulham have received a big boost as they prepare to return to the Premier League after Ryan Sessegnon and Tom Cairney agreed to extend their contracts at Craven Cottage.

The club’s star midfielders will reject interest from established top-flight sides to sign new deals at Fulham in the next few weeks.

Sessegnon will extend a contract that was due to expire in 2020 and Cairney will add another 12 months to a deal that has four years still to run.

It has been reported that wonderkid Sessegnon rejected a move to Manchester United in January, choosing to stick it out at Fulham in their quest to reach the top tier.

And they did just that, beating Aston Villa in the Championship play-off final, with a winning goal from Tom Cairney, to reach the promised land.

Sessegnon capped off a fine season by being named Championship Player of the Season.
