West Ham goalkeeper Robert Green has been called into the England squad for the Euro 2012 qualifier against Switzerland on 4 June.
The 31-year-old replaces Fulham's David Stockdale, who is getting married the day before the Wembley match.
Stockdale is believed to have told England's management he was still willing to join up with the squad.
Stockdale was first called up by Capello for February's 2-1 friendly win in Denmark in February, but was an unused substitute for the game.
He has made 10 appearances for Fulham this season, although his last game for Mark Hughes's side was the 4-0 FA Cup victory over Spurs at the end of January, with Mark Schwarzer the Cottagers' first-choice keeper since then.
