Bristol Rovers 1 Fulham 6
Fulham's reserves are just one point away from clinching their League title
after thrashing Bristol Rovers 6-1 on Thursday.
The second-string faced Rovers on Thursday afternoon in a match which had been
postponed twice before, and stormed to a convincing victory.
Eddie Lewis scored the opener following a classy back-heel from young Calum
Willock and Fulham never looked back.
Willock went on to complete a fine hat-trick, and that could be enough to earn
him a place on the bench in the final game of the season at Grimsby on Sunday.
Paul Peschisolido and Zat Knight were also on target.
The second-string now face Brighton at Motspur Park next week in their final
match of the season needing only a draw to clinch the Avon Insurance Combination
title.
Thursday's squad included Kieran McAnespie, who has returned to Fulham from
a loan spell at Hearts in Scotland having failed to earn himself a permanent
move there.
Fulham: Hahneman, W Collins, Trollope, Morgan, Neilson, Sahnoun, Betsy,
Peschisolido, Moller, Willock, Lewis.
Subs: Hammond, Thompson, Hudson, Knight, McAnespie.
