Referee Lewis Smith moved up to the National League four seasons ago in 2019/2020 and is now in his first full season as an EFL referee having been promoted in the summer, he did have some experience last season of refereeing in the Championship, League One and League Two.
Mr Smith has never had the pleasure of refing a Fulham game before
Mr Smith last refed a Ipswich game earlier in the season, in August 2023, when he refed them on their visit to Reading which ended a 2-2 draw. He booked five players, three of them from the Ipswich squad
Last season, 22/23, he refed 34 games and dished out 107 yellows and one red, so an average of 2.9 yellows per game.
His busiest game in recent times was the Salford vrs Swindon game when he booked four players and sent off a Salford player
