Referee Robert Jones has been refing and running the line from local leagues to the Football League for some 19 years.

Mr Jones was promoted to the Football League list in 2016, having previously refereed at National League and the Women’s Super League One level for two years.

Referee Robert Jones last refed a Fulham game in August 2019 when we were beat 1-0 by Southampton in the League Cup at the Cottage. It was the night of the lone flag waver. Mr Jones booked four players two from each team, for Fulham Stefan Johansen (47,f) and Maxime Le Marchand (71,f).

Prior to the Southampton game Mr Jones had only refed one Fulham game back in Feb 2018 when we drew away at Bolton 1-1 and Mr Jones booked two Bolton players and Fulham's Stefan Johansen for timewasting in the 60th minute.

Nottingham Forest have had the pleasure of Mr Jones' company four times so far this season the last of which was the 1-1 away draw at Sheffield Wednesday in June when he booked three plyers from each team.

Last season he officiated at 37 matches issuing 113 yellow cards and 2 reds, some 3.1 yellows per game, just below the average. One of his busiest games recently was the Brentford 1-0 home defeat by Bristol City. He booked four Brentford players and three City players and followed up by giving one of the Brentford players a second yellow.
