Referee Robert Jones has been refing and running the line from local leagues to the Football League for some 20 years.

Mr Jones was promoted to the Football League list in 2016, having previously refereed at National League and the Women’s Super League One level for two years.

Referee Robert Jones last refed Fulham four game ago in November 2020 when we lost 1-0 away at West Ham, the Lookman penalty miss game. He booked two players from each team, the Fulham players were Aleksandar Mitrovic (55,f), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (88,not retreating).

Last season in July 2020 Mr Jones also refed us when we won 1-0 away at Nottingham Forest . Mr Jones yellow carded two players from each team The Fulham cards were for Josh Onomah in the 44th minute for arguing and Denis Odoi in the 95th minute for a foul.

Mr Jones had also refed Fulham earlier in the system August 2019 when we lost 1-0 to Southampton in the League Cup at the Cottage. It was the night of the lone flag waver. Mr Jones booked four players two from each team, for Fulham Stefan Johansen (47,f) and Maxime Le Marchand (71,f).

Prior to the Southampton game Mr Jones had only refed one Fulham game back in Feb 2018 when we drew away at Bolton 1-1 and Mr Jones booked two Bolton players and Fulham's Stefan Johansen for timewasting in the 60th minute.

Brighton last had the pleasure of Mr Jones' company last season in December 2019 when they were beaten 1-0 at home to Sheffield United. He booked four players three of them from Brighton, Stevens, Basham and McGoldrick.

Last season he officiated at 34 matches issuing 114 yellow cards and NO reds, so some 3.4 yellows per game. One of his busiest games in recent times was the Brentford 1-0 home defeat by Bristol City in October 2018. He booked four Brentford players and three City players and followed up by giving one of the Brentford players a second yellow.
