Referee Robert Jones has been refing and running the line from local leagues to the Football League for some 20 years.

Mr Jones was promoted to the Football League list in 2016, having previously refereed at National League and the Women’s Super League One level for two years. He was promoted to Select Group 1 (Premier League) in August 2020.

Referee Robert Jones last refed Fulham in August 2024 when we lost 4-1 at home to Wolverhampton. Mr Jones booked three players, all Fulham players, Calvin Bassey, Kenny Tete and Andreas Pereira all for fouls. Alex Iwobi got Fulham's goal.

Mr Jones was previously in charge of a Fulham game when we lost 1-0 away at Manchester United. He yellow carded three Fulham players, Andreas Pereira, Tom Cairney and Calvin Bassey, and two United players.

Earlier in the year Mr Jones refed Fulham in March 2024 when we beat Tottenham 3-0 at The Cottage. He booked Joao Palhinha and Harrison Reed. Rodrigo Muniz scored twice with Sasa Lukic getting the other goal.

He also refed us in late May 2023 when we were edged out 2-1 at Old Trafford. He yellow carded three players including Joao Palhinha and Aleksandar Mitrovic both for fouls.

Mr Jones also refed Fulham three weeks previously, on the 8th May 2023, when Fulham beat Leicester 5-3 at The Cottage. He booked three players all from the Leicester squad and Willian (10, 70), Carlos Vinicius (18)and Tom Cairney (44, 51) were the Fulham goal scorers.

Mr Jones also refed a Fulham game in January 2023 when we lost 1-0 away at Newcastle United . He booked four players, three from Fulham Layvin Kurzawa (48,f), Tim Ream (61,f)and Andreas Pereira (63,f).

In the previous season, 21/22, Mr Jones refed Fulham in April 2022 when we lost 2-1 away at Derby. He booked four Derby players and Joe Bryan for a foul in the 96th minute. Fabio Carvalho scored our only goal.

In the previous season, 2020/2021, Mr Jones refed Fulham in February 2021 when we lost at home to Leicester City 2-0 in the Premiership. He booked four players, three of them Fulham players, Harrison Reed (24,f), Ola Aina (59,f) and Ivan Cavaleiro (89,f).

Earlier in the same season, in December 2020, he refed the home 0-0 draw with Brighton . He booked one player, Antonee Robinson, for a foul in the 76th minute.

He also refed us in November 2020 when we lost 1-0 away at West Ham, the Lookman penalty miss game. He booked two players from each team, the Fulham players were Aleksandar Mitrovic (55,f) and Ruben Loftus-Cheek (88,not retreating).

In the season before, 19/20, in July 2020 Mr Jones also refed us when we won 1-0 away at Nottingham Forest . Mr Jones yellow carded two players from each team The Fulham cards were for Josh Onomah in the 44th minute for arguing and Denis Odoi in the 95th minute for a foul.

Mr Jones had also refed Fulham earlier in the season 2019 when we lost 1-0 to Southampton in the League Cup at the Cottage. It was the night of the lone flag waver. Mr Jones booked four players two from each team, for Fulham Stefan Johansen (47,f) and Maxime Le Marchand (71,f).

Prior to the Southampton game Mr Jones had only refed one Fulham game back in Feb 2018 when we drew away at Bolton 1-1 and Mr Jones booked two Bolton players and Fulham's Stefan Johansen for timewasting in the 60th minute.

Bournemouth last had the pleasure of Mr Jones's company in October 2024 when they won 2-0 at home to Arsenal. He booked one player from each team and sent off an Arsenal player in the 30th minute..

Last season Mr Jones officiated at 36 matches issuing 159 yellow cards and five reds, so just over 4 yellows per game.

His busiest game recently was the Brighton vrs Nottingham Forest game in September this year when he booked eight players and gave a second yellow to one of the Forest players.
