Referee David Webb, 41-year-old, from County Durham, took up the whistle at the age of 14 after reading the match programme, when his beloved Sunderland lost 2-0 to Liverpool in the FA Cup Final at Wembley in 1992, in which the Football Association wrote about their need to recruit referees.

Mr Webb dropped out after a year but returned six years later and became a Football League assistant referee in 2006 before graduating in the middle the following year.

Fulham have only been bossed by Ref Webb twice before, in the 1-1 home draw with West Brom in September 2019 and back in December 2017 in the 2-2 away draw at Hull, Kamara scored both goals. Mr Webb only booked one player our Kevin McDonald.

Middlesbrough last had the pleasure of Mr Webb back in April 2018 when they won 2-0 at home to Nottingham Forest. He yellow carded three players, one of which was Ryan Shotton of Middlesbrough.

Last Season Ref Webb refed 34 games dishing out 102 yellows, a just below average 3.0 cards a game, and 5 reds. So far this season Mr web has refed 20 games dished out 56 yellows, an aveerage of 2.8 a game, and no reds.

His busiest game in recent fixtures was the Walsall v Oxford game in April 2019 when he yellow carded three players from each side, gave a second yellow to one of the Oxford players while dishing out a straight red to another Oxford player.
