Referee David Coote started refereeing as a sixteen year-old. He refereed in the Notts Alliance League, the Northern Counties East Football League, the Northern Premier League and the Conference North before being promoted to the Football League.
He was promoted to the list of Football League referees in 2010
Referee Coote only reffed Fulham once last season, the 2-2 home draw against Brentford in which he yellow carde four players, two from each side. Fredericks was booked for a foul and Stearman got booked for arguing with Brentford's Canos!!
In 2014/2015 season, when he first reffed a Fulham game, he reffed three Fulham
games, all away games, two defeats and a draw. So far when he has been in charge we
have gained two draws and two defeats.
Middlesbrough's most recent meeting with Ref Coote was in December 2015 in a 1-0
home win over Sheff Wed.
Last season he reffed 30 games, dished out 111 yellows and 5 reds,so a slightly above average 3.7 yellows per game.
