Referee Darren England, 31 year-old, has been running the line in the Premier League for several seasons after working his way up from amateur football in Barnsley. He commenced refereeing in the Conference League in March 2014 and moved up into the Football League in August 2015.
He refed his first Championship game in March 2017 and this season is now a regular in the Championship. He joined the Select Group 2 of full-time referees in the summer.
Mr England has never taken charge of a Fulham game before.
He last refed Preston in August this season in their 0-0 away game at Middlesbrough and he yellow carded three players including Pearson and Harrop of Preston.
This season he has refed 9 games and issued 34 yellows, an average of 3.8 cards a game and 1 red. Last season Ref England refed 42 games dishing out 121 yellows, an average 2.9 cards a game, and 9 reds.
His busiest game last season was the League Two game between Cheltenham and Yeovil with 7 yellows. Four of the yellows went to the visitors.
