Referee Peter Bankes, who began refereeing in Liverpool in 1996, aged 14, was appointed as a full time Select Group 2 referee in 2016 after becoming a National Group referee in 2014.

He was further promoted to the Select Group 1 enabling him to referee in the Premier League in June 2019.

Mr Bankes last bossed a Fulham game in October 2019 when we drew 0-0 away at Middlesbrough. He booked three boro players, Harrison Reed and Denis Odoi, he also sent off Marek Rodak in the 17th minute for handball.

Prior to that game he refed Fulham in August 2019 when we were beaten 2-1 at The Cottage by Nottingham Forest. He booked four Forest players, two for time wasting, and two Fulham players, Harry Arter (50,f), Aboubakar Kamara (90+9,d).

Mr Bankes also refed four Fulham games in 2017/18 the most recent of which was the 2-1 home win over Sunderland in April 2018. Mr Bankes booked four Sunderland players two for dessent, one for timewasting and one more for arguing with Kamara. He also booked two Fulham players, Bettinelli (90+3,tw) and Kamara (90+6,arg).

Prior to the Sunderland game he refed the 2-0 home win against Leeds in early April booking three Fulham players, Bettinelli (68,tw), McDonald (69,f), Johansen (78,f), and two Leeds players, one for dissent and the other for a foul.

In February he refed the 2-0 home win against Wolves when he booked Matt Targett for a fouland two Wolves players.

In September he refed the 2-1 away win at QPR when he booked three players from each team, the Fulham players were Norwood (63,f), Fredericks (64,d), Button (87,tw).

Mr Bankes last bossed Tottenham earlier this season, in September 2020, when they drew 1-1 at home against Newcastle United. He booked one Tottenham player and four Newcastle players.

Last season he refed 26 games and dished out 107 yellows and 3 reds, so an above average of 4.1 yellows per game.

In his last game, Brighton vrs Sheff Utd, he booked six players and sent off another In three other games he booked 8 players!!!!
