Referee Lee Probert has been part of the Select Group of referees since 2007, after a successful 11-year career as an official in the Football League.
Probert came in for criticism, 2009, when he sent Arsene Wenger to the stands for kicking a water bottle. The Premier League subsequently issued an apology to Wenger.
Mr Probert missed the whole of the 2015/16 season due to injury and as of February 2017 he has not returned to the Premier League. He remains a member of the Select Group of referees.
Mr Probert last refed Fulham in the 0-0 drawn FA Cup game at home to Wolves in January 2015. He booked Scott Parker for a foul in the 17th minute.
Leeds have not been refed by Mr Probert since their 6-0 away thrashing by Sheffield Wednesday in September 2013. He yellow carded three Wednesday players and one Leeds player but he red carded a Leeds player in the 47th minute.
In his last previous season, 14/15, he refed 19 games and dished out 63 yellows, an average 3.3 yellows per game, and 5 reds.
This season so far he has refed 23 games and dished out 40 yellows, a very low average of 1.7 yellows per game, and 2 reds.
His busiest game this season was the League Cup game between Brighton and Reading, back in September, when he booked three Brighton players, one Reading player and sent off another Reading player in the 42nd minute.
