Fulham seem to be still warming
up for their first season in the Premiership. Some Pundits say that the
squad are a bit overawed by the so called top teams what ever it is the
squad does seems to lack some confidence at the moment. This is particularly
evident in the final third.
Yesterday Chelsea came visiting for the first time in a long time and
we were a bit backward in the first half but the difference was not as
big as some of the reports would have you believe. Moaning Hasselbaink
could have had more but only if he had a 100% convertion rate which he
does not. On the same basis Louis Saha could have had a two or three,
particularly if he had not been taken down from behind on the edge of
Chelsea's area. Incidently the Ref gave a free kick but no yellow for
that one perhaps because the Chelsea boot boy had already been yellow
carded for a previous assualt.
The Fulhamweb prediction
was a victory of at least 2-1 to Fulham and a crowd of 20805. COME ON
YOU WHITES.
Other Games
The match of the Saturday was Tottenham v Man U where Spurs went
3-0 up by halftime but had lost 3-5 by the end of the second half. Charlton
won 2-0 at home to Leicester and sealed Peter Taylor's fate as he was
sacked on Sunday. In the league
we are now 14th with 7 points from 7 games. Our next game in the League
is away at Aston Villa on Sunday 14th October and the game is live on
Sky. Before that we play Derby down at the Cottage in the Worthington
Cup on Wednesday the 10th October at 19.45
