Referee Stats - 2003/2004

Ref Walton has not been a frequent visitor to the Premiership with just 4 games to his name so far in his first season. He appears to whistle just be low average and issue yellows well below average. In the Nationwide he averages between 2 and three yellows a game and 4 reds in 22 games, 3 of those in his last three games!! Philip Dowd is the top whistling and yellow card issuer at the moment with Rob Styles being top red carder with 8 and Mark Halsey being top penalty giver with 5 to his name

Analysis of Ref Walton's figures show him to have an slight bias against away teams but with just 4 games in the Premiership it is too early to brand him an out and out Homer. He has issued 4 red cards this season in the Nationwide evenly split between home and away squads.Retiring Jeff Winter is still the biggest Homer with 75% of yellows going to away squads.

Mr Walton has reffed 3 Fulham games since 1998 and in those 3 games, all home games, he has booked 2 Fulham players and 8 visiting players. He also sent off a vistor.2003/04
