Fulham midfielder Oliver Norwood says Villa Park’s big pitch could give his side the edge when they meet Aston Villa on Saturday.
Slavisa Jokanovic’s promotion chasers have flourished away from Craven Cottage this season, claiming 11 of their 18 points on the road.
And Norwood reckons the extra room available to Fulham’s speedy attackers will give them a greater chance of leaving Birmingham victorious.
He said: "It will be tough, it's always tough at Villa Park - it's a big open pitch.
"Maybe that will suit us, there will be a lot of space but we have to play more like we did in the second half against Preston than we did the first if we want to come away with anything."
Villa go into the game having lost their first match in nine at West Midlands rivals Wolves last weekend.
The match between the two sides at Villa Park last year ended 1-0 to Villa thanks to a stunning Jonathan Kodjia strike before the claret and blues were beaten 3-1 in west London in April as their talismanic Ivorian forward saw red.
