Nigerian striker Sone Aluko is excited to have joined Championship side Fulham following the expiration of his contract at Hull City.

The 27-year-old attacker joins Fulham on a two-year deal, with an option for an additional 12 months and Aluko believes there are exciting times ahead.

"All done, new season, new team and exciting times ahead," he tweeted.

A product of Birmingham City’s youth academy, Aluko previously played for Aberdeen and Rangers in 2011, where he netted 12 times in 21 league games.

In 2012, he joined Hull City, and he scored eight goals in 23 matches as the Tigers won promotion to the Premier League, something he helped them achieve again last season.

A former England youth international, Aluko who has represented Nigeria on seven occasions and has scored twice will now join up with the rest of the group in Cork as preparations continue for the new season.
