Fulham boss Slavsia Jokanovic says the extent of an injury Neeskens Kebano suffered against Exeter will be assessed over the next couple of days.
The 26-year-old winger was stretchered off in Fulham’s 2-0 Carabao Cup win, which saw summer signing Alfie Mawson make his debut after a knee operation kept him out of action for three months.
Jokanovic, who is also missing Tim Ream and Floyd Ayité through injury, said: “He (Kebano) injured his ankle.
It can be some ligament damage, but I don’t know yet. We have to assess him.”
Despite the setback, the Serbian was pleased with the progress his team showed in their second dominant win at Craven Cottage in 48 hours, after an entirely different line-up defeated Burnley in the Premier League on Sunday.
But he acknowledged that there is more room for improvement for his new-look squad going forwards.
“I am really happy with the ambition of the team,” he added. “We need to push ourselves to play better football still, and find more sense in everything that we are doing in the 90 minutes.
“I expect we will play better in the next round.”
