Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic hit a brace in Serbia’s 2-2 UEFA Nations League draw with Romania on Monday evening.

He put his side in front in Belgrade when he got the decisive touch on a scramble inside the box, but they were pegged back when Nicolae Stanciu converted from the sport shortly after half-time.

Mitrovics second was a thing of beauty the goal on SKY.

Despite the attentions of three defenders just inside the area, the striker shielded the ball well with his back to goal, before flicking it up and sending a volley between his markers and beyond an unsuspecting goalkeeper.

It was a strike worthy of winning the match, but Romania fought back once again and earned a point courtesy of Marius George Tucudean’s strike five minutes later.

The draw keeps Serbia joint top of Group 4 in League C, following their win over Lithuania on Friday.deal until he turns 17, possibly allowing other clubs to snap him up.
