On loan Fulham striker Kostas Mitroglou scored a goal in each half to give Olympiakos a 2-0 win over Panionios on Wednesday, and move the champions a point behind Greek league leader PAOK.

The Greece striker, who struggled after a disappointing spell at Fulham, beat in-form keeper Nikos Papadopoulos with a header in the 36th minute and completed the scoring moments before the final whistle.

Mitroglou joined Fulham in January 2014 making one start, the 3-1 defeat at Cardiff, and two sub appearances, an away draw at West Brom and the 4-1 defeat at Stoke.

Felix Magath was not impressed with Mitroglou's effort or lack there of and he was shipped out, on loan, to Olympiakos at the end of the season.
