Fulham striker Hugo Rodallega had a late goal ruled out as Fulham earned their first away point since mid-December.

The Colombian thought he had scored the winner when he turned home a cross at the near post six minutes from time but he was adjudged to be offside.

In a match of few clear-cut chances, Millwall striker Lee Gregory missed a sitter early on when he volleyed a cross high over the bar.

Alex Kacaniklic produced a save from Millwall keeper David Forde in the first half, while Michael Tonge went close for the home side late on.

Both teams are scrapping to keep themselves in the Championship and on this display it is easy to see why.

Gregory's glaring miss on 12 minutes, when he stretched to meet Jimmy Abdou's cross but somehow volleyed over, summed up a low-quality encounter.

One of Fulham's better chances came a few minutes later as Lasse Vigen Christensen stormed into the box unchallenged and set up Kacaniklic, whose scuffed effort was turned away by Millwall keeper David Forde.

Fulham often carried a threat on the break, as Kacaniklic fired a low shot just past the post, while in the second half Rodallega twice could not apply a finishing touch to messy scrambles in the box.

A burst of action in the final 10 minutes, out of keeping with the rest of the match, saw Tonge's fierce volley deflected narrowly wide and from the resultant corner, Jos Hooiveld headed at Marcus Bettinelli.

Fulham thought they had snatched an away win for the first time since beating Leeds two months ago when Rodallega pulled down Ross McCormack's cross and finished, but the assistant referee's flag cut short the celebrations.
