last updated Wednesday 14th March 2001, 9:40 PM

Fulham Football Club are the top club in the Nationwide league.

A number of Division One squads have catch up fixtures during the week but our next game is on Saturday away at Crystal Palace.

On Tuesday Watford lost again at home this time 1-0 to Burnley while Nottm Forest did their playoff zone aspirations no good by losing 1-0 away at Crewe

On Wednesday Blackburn showed why they must be favourite to take the second promotion place and even mount a challenge for the championship when they beat Birmingham 2-0 at St Andrews.

Preston also kept up the pressure for a playoff zone with 2-0 home victory against Wolves

Say ... We are top of Division One after two thirds of the campaign, have lost only four games, have the best goal difference and the leading scorer in the Premier and Nationwide leagues.
