Fulham striker Ross McCormack is going nowhere - least of all to Middlesbrough, says his Fulham Head Coach Slavisa Jokanovic.

Reports insist the Whites top scorer with 17 goals in 31 appearances wants out at Craven Cottage to pitch up with a club hoping to return to the Premier League.

However, he is not even going to face Hull tomorrow having reported sick.

Jokanovic batted away questions on whether Whites had received a formal offer from the Teesiders, said to be £8million for the Scotland international, but the manager made it crystal clear McCormack is going nowhere in this transfer window.

"He's not for sale," Jokanovic said. "I don't change my position. It's the same for Mike Rigg (chief football officer). It's the same for Alistair Macintosh (chief executive). I didn't come here to sell the players at this moment.

I read the press too, and it's normal other clubs are interested in players.

"But he is one of our key players and we believe he can help us in the future."

Fulham are stymied by a transfer embargo that leaves them only loans in this window.

Having lost Cauley Woodrow to injury, and with Moussa Dembele's agent talking to other clubs about the talented teenager, it makes sense to keep McCormack, contracted until 2019, to the end of the season at least and ensure Fulham avoid flirtation with relegation.
