Match winner Harry Wilson has smashed the Man of the Match vote from Fulham’s dramatic win over Brentford on Monday night.
The winger was introduced in the 82nd minute as a replacement for the also excellent Reiss Nelson, and ended up as the hero with a stoppage time brace to turn the game around.
His first was a typically audacious Wilson flick which lobbed the goalkeeper, before winning the contest with a near post header.
“Normally, Harry Wilson plays more on the right-hand side,” Marco Silva explained. “In that moment, we tried him a little bit closer to Rodrigo in the pocket areas to arrive.
“We know that he smells it, he has good timing to arrive in the box. We were rewarded for that, the players were rewarded for that.”
The vote was a fairly unanimous one, with 72.1 per cent of fans throwing their support behind the Wales international.
Antonee Robinson, who set up the winner, came second with 12.3%, ahead of the imperious Sander Berge (5.5%).
