Big match facts from BBCSport
FULHAM enter this late Sunday afternoon fixture against rock bottom West Bromwich Albion, aiming to improve on their recent form of one win in six Premiership outings. Although the Cottagers have gained nine more points than the Baggies, they have lost one more match (12 to Albion's 11).
- Chris Coleman has seen his side win a third of their Premiership matches since his appointment as full time Fulham manager (20 wins out of 60 games). They're averaging a point a game this season.
-
The Cottagers have lost only once in 13 home League meetings with the Baggies. They lost 1-2 in the top flight on 7 October 1967, since when Fulham have won four and drawn four.
- Lost 12 times in the Premiership, as have Crystal Palace - but no other club has finished on the losing side more often.
- The 3-1 home victory over Crystal Palace on New Year's Day is Fulham's only maximum since the 0-1 eclipse of Norwich at Carrow Road on 4 December.
- Lost all seven Premiership matches in which failed to score - the worst such return in the top division.
- Lost 11 of the 13 highest League duels in which the opposition has scored first.
- Holding a 100% record when a clean sheet has the kept in the top tier (won four of four).
-
Lost six home Premiership games - only Crystal Palace can match that.
- Conceded more top flight goals at home than any other club (20).
-
Luis BOA MORTE is a double shy of 50 goals for English clubs (four for Arsenal, one for Southampton and 43 for Fulham).
- When next involved from the opening whistle, Lee CLARK will be making his 150th start for the Cottagers.
WEST BROMWICH ALBION gained their first win under Bryan Robson last weekend, with the 0-2 victory at Championship outfit Preston in the third round of the FA Cup. Now the Baggies boss hopes his side can carry that form forward to the Premiership, to break the longest winless sequence by any top flight club so far this season of 14 games. No club has suffered a 15 match sequence without victory and survived in the Premiership.
- The Midlanders have picked up just four points from 10 starts since the appointment of the new manager, and three of those have come in the last three outings, courtesy of 1-1 draws at Manchester City and Bolton, and a goalless stalemate, home to Newcastle.
-
They've not won on the road in the top division this term, and own the most generous defence in the Premiership (43 goals shipped, that's one every 46 minutes on average) and the weakest attack with 17 goals scored in the 22 games (one every one hour 56 minutes). They are also the weakest finishers in the top flight going into this round of matches with 11 goals shipped in the last 15 minutes of Premiership games.
-
Honours are even in Premiership matches between these clubs with one win a piece and one draw. The fixture at the Hawthorns in September was the draw. It was an explosive match in which Robert Earnshaw blasted a penalty over the bar on his West Brom debut and three red cards were brandished by referee Mike Dean. Typical poachers efforts from Andrew Cole for the home side and Nwankwo Kanu were preceded by the sending off of Fulham's Papa Bouba Diop, and followed by the dismissals of Albion's Neil Clement and Cole after an ugly fracas.
- Accrued three more points to this stage in their only previous Premiership campaign of 2002/03.
- Aiming for an eighth win from the 61st game of their Premier League history.
- Collected 39 points from a possible 180 all-time in the Premiership.
- Never won a Premiership game when the opponents have scored first.
- Conceded the opening goal 15 times this League season, as have Norwich. No other clubs have gone behind from the opening whistle of top division games more often.
- Drawn five and lost 10 of the 15 matches in which the opposition has scored first.
- Gone 25 League games since winning by more than a single goal.
- Never won a Premier League game by more than a single goal.
- Kept a mere two clean sheets (in goalless home draws with Norwich and Newcastle) this season.
- Bottom of the Premiership's "Last Six Current Form" table with three points from the possible 18.
-
Norwich, Southampton and West Brom have still to win a Premiership game on the road.
- Conceded more goals on their top flight travels than any other club (24).
- Drawn the last two away, both 1-1, at the City of Manchester Stadium and the Reebok.
- Yet to keep a League clean sheet away from home.
