Fulham make the trip to the London Stadium for an intriguing battle in England's top flight against West Ham United, on Tuesday evening. The game will be Graham Potter's first taste of Premier League football as the West Ham United manager.

Both teams will enter the clash off the back of FA Cup third-round fixtures, with Fulham 4-1 winners over Watford to secure their position in the fourth round and West Ham exiting the competition courtesy of a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa.

Fulham are unbeaten in their last 10 Premier League derbies, which is their longest run since October 1938, and Marco Silva's side will also bring a healthy unbeaten run into the contest across the board.

Indeed, the Cottagers have not lost in their last nine matches in all competitions, including their last eight in the Premier League, with that run including draws against Arsenal and Liverpool, in addition to a success away to Chelsea.

Fulham's last league defeat was at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers on November 23, and they are currently in ninth spot in the table, picking up 30 points from their 20 matches, which has left them only six points off the Champions League spots.

Silva's side were 4-1 winners over Watford in the FA Cup towards the end of last week, meanwhile, and they will now be eyeing another victory ahead of a trip to the King Power Stadium to tackle Leicester City next weekend.

Fulham have only lost two of their nine away Premier League matches this season, and they will be heading to a West Ham side that have just three home league successes to their name during an underwhelming 2024-25 campaign.

West Ham took a ninth-minute lead against Villa in the FA Cup last time out through Lucas Paqueta, but Unai Emery's side scored twice in the space of five second-half minutes to turn the match around and progress to the next stage of the competition.

With no European football this term, the Hammers now only have the league to focus on, and it will be up to new head coach Potter to guide the team away from the bottom three and potentially into the top half of the division.

West Ham have lost their last two league games against Liverpool and Manchester City, conceding nine times in the process, and they currently sit in 14th spot in the Premier League table, picking up only 23 points from their 20 league matches this term.

The Hammers are only seven points above the relegation zone, which is slightly concerning considering their recent form, while the team have severe issues in the final third of the field that will surely need to be addressed before the end of the transfer window.

West Ham are winless in their last three Premier League matches with Fulham, losing twice, while they are without a victory in their last five Premier League London derbies, suffering three defeats in the process.

Head to Head

  • West Ham are winless in their last three Premier League meetings with Fulham (D1 L2), having won five of their previous six against them before this (D1).

  • Fulham won this exact fixture 2-0 last season, ending a 12-match winless away run against West Ham in the Premier League (D4 L8). They’ve not won away at the Hammers in consecutive league campaigns since 1978-79/1979-80 in the second tier.
Fulham
  • Fulham are unbeaten in their last 10 Premier League London derby matches (W5 D5) – it’s their longest run without a league defeat against fellow London sides since a run of 12 between February 1936 and October 1938.

  • Only Liverpool (15) and Arsenal (10) are on a longer current unbeaten run in the Premier League than Fulham (8), though six of the Cottagers eight games in this run have been draws.

  • Fulham have conceded more Premier League goals from outside the box both this season (8) and since the start of last season (20) than any other side. Indeed, 30% of their goals conceded this season have been from distance, also a league-high share (8/27).

  • Despite Fulham’s Andreas Pereira creating more chances from set plays than any other Premier League player this season (24), no side has netted fewer set piece goals this term than the Cottagers (2, excluding penalties).

  • Fulham’s Raúl Jiménez has scored eight Premier League goals this season, his most in a single campaign since 2019-20 (17). He’s also netted more goals against West Ham than against any other opponent in the competition (6).
West Ham United
  • West Ham are winless in five Premier League London derby matches (D2 L3), with their last two finishing in 4-1 and 5-2 defeats against Tottenham and Arsenal respectively – no team has ever shipped 4+ goals in three consecutive Premier League London derby matches before.

  • West Ham’s last two Premier League games have seen them lose 5-0 to Liverpool and 4-1 to Manchester City. They’ve not lost three in a row since February 2024, while they last did so while conceding 4+ goals each time in March 2008 (0-4 defeats against Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs).

  • West Ham have been leading at half-time in just two of their 20 Premier League games this season, the joint-fewest of any side along with Southampton. Indeed, only Saints (-16) and Leicester (-15) have a worse first half goal difference than the Hammers (-13 – F8 A21).
